These photos show a Gearless Traction Armature that First Electric changed the commutator and rewound the armature on-site. When the winding was finished we turned and undercut the commutator using our custom designed turning rigs. First Electric saved this customer Thousands of dollars and weeks of time with its innovative and skilled service team.

This armature had a bad bearing surface and could not be taken out. First Electric was asked to do a temporary repair while the owners decided what to do. Our service team came up with a plan and fixed the bearing surface. The temporary repair has been in use for four years and is still running today.
